Privacy Policy

Boat 4DAT is provided by 4DAT LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("4DAT", "we", "us"). The short version: the apps do not collect your data, and the website counts gear guide page views and link clicks anonymously, without cookies or identifiers.

1. The Boat 4DAT apps

The iOS and Android apps have no network code, no accounts, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. Everything you enter, including boats, logs, expenses, notes, and photos, is stored only on your device. We never receive it and cannot see it. The App Store privacy label for Boat 4DAT is "Data Not Collected".

Because your records live on your device, deleting the app deletes them. Your phone's own backup features (such as iCloud or Google device backup) may include app data depending on your device settings; those backups are handled by Apple or Google, not by us.

2. Boat 4DAT Pro subscription (Android)

On Android, Boat 4DAT offers an optional Boat 4DAT Pro subscription at $8.99 per year, sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the purchase, your payment details, renewals, and cancellations under the Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive your name, email address, or payment information. The app checks your subscription status with Google Play on your device. You can manage or cancel the subscription in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions.

3. The website

boat4dat.com does not use cookies, does not ask you to sign in, and does not run advertising or third-party analytics scripts.

The gear guides count page views, product impressions, and clicks on product links so we know which guides are useful. These counts are sent to our own service at affiliate.ai4dat.com and contain only: the page path, the product and category shown, where on the page the link was, a campaign tag if the link you arrived on had one, the referring website's domain name, and a timestamp. They contain no cookies, no user or device identifiers, and we do not store IP addresses with them, so they cannot be tied to you.

The website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

4. Amazon and other retailers

As an Amazon Associate, Boat 4DAT earns from qualifying purchases. When you follow a product link to Amazon.com or another retailer, you leave our site. That retailer may use cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy. Amazon reports to us which products were ordered and the commissions earned, never who bought them. We never receive your order, address, or payment details.

5. Email

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you, and we do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time.

6. What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal information, share it for targeted advertising, build profiles about you, or track you across other apps and websites.

7. Children

Boat 4DAT is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The apps collect no personal information from anyone.

8. Your choices and rights

Because the apps keep your records on your device and the website stores nothing that identifies you, we generally hold no personal information about you to access, correct, or delete. If you have emailed us, you can ask for a copy of that correspondence or for its deletion by writing to the address below. You can also stop the website's anonymous counts by blocking requests to affiliate.ai4dat.com in your browser.

9. Changes to this policy

If our practices change, for example if an app adds a feature that sends data off your device, we will update this policy and its effective date before that change takes effect, and we will note material changes on the site or in the app. See also our Terms of Use.
